About

The Affiliate Distribution Team is a specialized group within the company that focuses on establishing and managing partnerships with Telecom and TV providers such as Ziggo, KPN, T-Mobile, Proximus and Telenet to promote and distribute the Linear TV channels and Disney+. The primary goal of the team is to drive sales, increase brand awareness, and expand market reach by leveraging the reach and influence of affiliates.

Partnership and Contract Management: The team establishes, negotiate, and manages contractual agreements with affiliate partners in relation to ESPN, National Geographic, FOX, 24K, Disney and Disney+ in the Benelux.

Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with affiliates is crucial. The team fosters open communication channels, responds to inquiries, and actively engages with several departments of the partners such as content, marketing and sales teams to strengthen partnerships.

Partnership marketing strategy: The team develops and execute trade marketing campaigns with partners with a focus on acquisition and retention for ESPN and Disney+

Training and Support: The team offers guidance and support to affiliates to optimize their promotional efforts. This may include providing training sessions, marketing tips, and best practices to help affiliates achieve better results.

Incentive Programs: The Affiliate Distribution Team may design and implement incentive programs to motivate affiliates to perform at their best. This could include performance-based bonuses, contests, or special promotions to encourage affiliates to drive more sales or leads.

Performance Tracking and Analysis: The Affiliate Distribution Team monitors the performance of individual affiliates and the overall affiliate program. They analyze data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and use analytics to measure the success of different affiliates and promotional strategies.

Compliance and Legal Matters: The Affiliate Distribution Team ensures that the affiliate program is in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. They work with legal and compliance teams to address any legal issues related to the program.

Market Research and Strategy: The team stays informed about industry trends, competitor affiliate programs, and emerging marketing opportunities. They use this information to devise effective affiliate marketing strategies and stay ahead in the competitive landscape.

The success of the Affiliate Distribution Team is measured by the growth in sales generated through the affiliate network, the expansion of the affiliate program, and the overall positive impact on the company's marketing and distribution efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining a strong relationship with our key distribution partners by creating content marketing, base, upsell, customer lifecycle and loyalty programs for Disney+ and ESPN
  • Initiate new brand & trade campaigns via all sales channels (online, retail, mobile, inbound) of our partners
  • Identify new opportunities for Affiliate sales as a result of product propositions, new entrants, changing technology and/or delivery systems, etc. and develop sales arguments targeted specifically to address these specialised needs
  • Keep fully abreast of new developments, monitor competitive activity and scan the overall environment so as to capitalize on all present and future business opportunities
  • Translate research and ratings insights and market trends and developments into commercial opportunities and portfolio
  • Liaise with Programming & Marketing to optimise commercial opportunities from early in the process, and to ensure creative ideas have the support and back up based on internal established guidelines
  • Manage the trade marketing P&L for specific key accounts

Experiences/ Skills required

  • Partnership/ Key account management experience: 3-6 years
  • Pro-active and positive attitude: hands on
  • Administration experience: good level of excel and power point. Very accurate way of working
  • Excellent communicator: manage client relationships internally as well as externally
  • Experience in media (TV/ SVOD/ TVOD)
  • Degree of fluency (written and spoken) in English
  • Team Player
