HR Generalist


 

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Measurement Solutions Human Resources team in Ede, the Netherlands, and provide HR support to both the local and European team. We are looking for a resourceful, motivated, and enthusiastic colleague, ready to become a key member of our team, working on innovative & employee-centric HR solutions. The Human Resources Generalist will contribute to our strategic and administrative responsibilities with hands-on use of our systems, by carrying out important HR functions as well as partner with the HR Manager and Business Leaders to maximise employee engagement and talent development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Professional level fluency in both Dutch and English language skills; verbal, reading and writing.
  • Professional HR qualification, diploma in Business Management or Human Resources (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR role (preferably within an international manufacturing and/or sales environment in the Netherlands).
  • Experience with and understanding of Dutch Employment Law, regulations, Collective Labor Agreements, etc.
  • You are trustworthy, dependable, respectful of highly confidential and sensitive information. You hold yourself and others accountable to a high professional standard. You have a pro-active attitude, comfortable working both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • You have great interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. You are both resilient and courageous, with the ability to interact with employees from various backgrounds and subject areas.
  • You possess excellent organization skills and a proactive approach. You have a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and punctuality.
  • Experience with immigration processes is a plus.
  • Knowledge in using HR Information Systems, databases.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills, Power BI skills
  • A passion for continuous improvement and a strong learning agility.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

OPERATIONAL HR SUPPORT:
  • Builds strong relationship with employees, and provide them with feedback, coaching and support.
  • Initiates and leads HR communication to all employees, maintains HR SharePoint and Communication Boards, and leads initiatives to facilitate face-to-face contact with employees.
  • Provide managers with HR support needed on various topics such as recruitment, salary increases, disciplinary procedure, etc. and resolves issues in a timely manner.
  • Performs daily administrative tasks, including correspondence and ensures accurate HR records administration.
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting of HR metrics.
  • Ensures accurate absenteeism administration, drive preventive initiatives in order to proactively manage the absenteeism percentage and follow-up on individual cases.
  • Works together with Payroll Administration in order to ensure all compensation changes are processed and correctly updated, and ensuring all changes are processed in all HR systems.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of Dutch employment legislation, ensures alignment with applicable employment legislation and actively advise management and HR team members on topics related to Dutch employment legislation.

OFFER FULL-CYCLE SUPPORT FOR HIRING & ONBOARDING PROCESSES:
  • Coordinate the Oracle Recruit processes, including creating and closing requisitions, posting jobs, managing candidates and hiring related activities.
  • Help to establish new and revise existing job descriptions with Managers, (with Diversity and Inclusion in mind!)
  • Support the interview processes
  • Draft and issue contracts, addendums and employee letters as required;
  • Collaborate with the HR Shared Service team as required
  • Partner with Managers to implement and provide a successful On-boarding program for new employees

SUPPORT WITH INTERNAL TALENT MOVES:
  • Submit salary, promotions & internal move proposals for approval
  • Work with the HR Shared Service teams to issues addendums & job descriptions

SUPPORT WITH OFF-BOARDING PROCESS:
  • Work with Managers and employees to complete the off-boarding process
  • Conduct exit interviews as appropriate and provide recommendations on employee retention

BE THE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT ON OUR HRIS SYSTEMS:
  • Collaborate with HR Operations team to maintain Oracle data base accuracy
  • Create or support local country HR with creating HR Records in Oracle HCM for new hires and update Oracle based on organizational changes (promotions/internal moves).
  • Development and maintainence of our HR Analytics dashboards across Europe, analysing any trends or gaps, enquiring into any possible errors and ensuring they are rectified in HCM.

LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT:
  • Assist with tracking and attendance of trainings and development programs
  • Support with identifying training opportunities, communication of upcoming events
  • Create training sessions in Oracle Learn and support our colleagues with enrolments
  • Support with Performance & Development Process, advise on procedures and meetings. Ensure review and follow-up.

Engage with HR Team on Strategic initiatives as required, such as improving the Measurement Solutions SharePoint sites, supporting the UK HR team on improving Immigration process, continuous improvement of our Mentoring Program, Employee Wellness Programs, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, and so on.


EMPLOYEE RELATIONS:
  • Provide information on payroll and benefits as needed
  • Provide support/update the different HR databases with information not available in HCM (e.q. but not limited to Headcount, Turnover, recruitment information, demographics) and offer support in preparing final reports and presentations
  • Support with Talent Review and Organizational Review processes
  • Support during audits for HR specific activities
  • Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed.
