Student-assistants for the working group ‘Wellbeing Ambassadors’ (0,1 fte)

Would you like to contribute to Student Wellbeing within the Faculty of Humanities? Apply now and become a member of the new student working group 'Wellbeing Ambassadors'.

Tasks
Within the Faculty of Humanities we want to pay more attention to the theme of Student Wellbeing this academic year. Preferably we want to do this with a student-for-students approach.

To make this possible, the faculty is setting up the student working group 'Wellbeing Ambassadors'. The working group will be guided by the Faculty Student Wellbeing Officer and will consist of five student members working closely together.

Students in the working group are expected to be proactive in establishing various projects within the faculty aimed at increasing Student Wellbeing. Examples include:

  • Contributing to various projects, including the annual Wellbeing Weeks, the Acts of Kindness pillar and the Humanities Living Room;
  • Organizing events, workshops and campaigns for students;
  • Promoting existing activities and facilities, and participating in information days;
  • Creating content for our social media and website (e.g. interviews, photo reports and videos);
  • Attending weekly meetings with the working group (with rotating role of chairman and minutes secretary).

Within your role as a member of the Wellbeing Ambassadors group, there is a lot of freedom for your own input of ideas, plans and projects around the themes of wellbeing and mental health. Together with the group you will think about which projects can lead to success, which ideas will resonate well and what students really need when we talk about student wellbeing.

Profile

  • You are currently doing a Bachelor's or Master's degree at the Faculty of Humanities at Leiden University (note: first-year Bachelor's students are not eligible);
  • You have an interest in the topics of Student Wellbeing and Mental Health;
  • You are organized, proactive and solution-focused;
  • You can work well collaboratively in a team as well as independently;
  • You have strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
  • You get energy from developing and implementing new projects and are enthusiastic to get started as an ambassador
