As the Lead Developer, you'll shape the technical direction of an innovative Urban Digital Twin Software Suite. Your expertise will drive success in high-performance algorithms, simulations, and user interfaces. You'll lead a team specializing in HPC and UI development, ensuring the software excels in a SaaS environment. Your role involves architecture design, implementation, and testing, guiding the team through best practices, scalability, and performance optimization. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you'll translate product needs into technical specs and champion innovation.
| YOUR CHALLENGES?
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Oversee the entire software development life cycle, from design to deployment.
- Leverage your extensive experience in HPC software development, with a strong focus on backend development using C++ and CUDA.
- Manage and guide frontend development efforts, utilizing C# for optimal user experience.
- Ensure seamless integration of GPU-based models for Urban-strategy simulations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of existing micro-services and strategically plan new service development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define software requirements and architecture.
- Drive the transformation of the internal tool into a fully functional and scalable product.
- Act as a technical leader, providing guidance on best practices and technological advancements.
| WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Proven experience in HPC software development, with strong expertise in backend development using C++ and CUDA.
- Proficiency in frontend development using C#.
- Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Residing in the Netherlands is a requirement.
- Previous experience with micro-services architecture is a plus.
